If you are uninsured
and are unable to afford coverage for your family, you may be able to qualify under your state's CHIP program. This is a
program specifically designed to cover uninsured children in most
states of the USA. It is a combined federal and state program. As I
understand it, there are no pre-existing condition exclusions under the
programs, so your children could continue to receive treatments and they would be
covered by CHIP. You might want to check out the following link that
describes CHIP: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/home/sc hip.asp
You can then call the Dept of Insurance for your state and see what they have to offer (What state are you in?).
